Get ready, Anime Sekai! We’re thrilled to announce a guest who brings incredible talent and a whole lot of “manic energy” to the world of voice acting: Tom Laflin! 🤩
Tom’s journey to the mic is as unique as his performances. After a decade as a software engineer, he made the bold leap into voice acting, and we’re so glad he did! 🎤 Now based in Dallas, Tom’s dynamic voice can be heard across games, live-action projects, and, of course, a fantastic array of anime roles. 🎮🎬📺

You’ll recognize Tom’s versatile voice from his standout performances as:

⭐Meet at Anime Sekai 2025!⭐

Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, Astin was introduced to the world of cosplay by her mom, a long-time Star Trek fan, after expressing her disappointment over getting “too old” to dress up for Halloween. She officially picked up the craft in 2016 with her Armin Arlert cosplay and has been going strong ever since.

Using the knowledge of sewing and garment altering she gained from her previous projects working on costumes for various ballet recitals and shows to start her craft, the Abilene local has steadily accumulated more skills, specializing in sewing and in styling complex wigs, most recently delving into foam work and prop-making.

Outside of her cosplay life, she works as a ballet teacher, having been a professional dancer for five years before moving on to the teaching life. She also plays her accordion in whatever time she has left.

An Art Teacher by day, Professional Cosplayer by night, she’s a powerhouse running a small business, creating content, art designs, and incredible cosplays. Sarah has been a beloved guest and made cosplay appearances across Texas, Arkansas, and Oklahoma since 2018.

Beyond cosplay, she’s a member of Circ du Slay, a Kpop cover group, and performs as solo artist Jocie! Welcome to the official Anime Sekai Convention Group! Anime Sekai is an annual 3-day convention that celebrates Japanese culture, geek culture, anime & manga, collectibles, cosplay, tabletop & video gaming, comics, TV shows, movies; you name it, we’ve got it! The word ‘Sekai’ is Japanese for ‘World’, our vision is to bring the biggest and most exciting event as to be stepping into a world full of anime!
