Thanks for helping!

We were called to troubleshoot a problem with the new generator this morning.
After fixing the minor problem, we enjoyed the air conditioned comfort of the Chicago car on the trip to Enterprise and back.
Come out and ride the Abilene and Smoky Valley for a relaxing ride or dinner on the train!

🚗 Look what rolled into Abilene today!

The Abilene Visitors Center had the pleasure of helping this group plan their trip to Ike’s hometown, and today we got to see their Model T bucket cars in person!

The group drove to Abilene to visit the Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum, Dickinson County Historical Society, World’s Largest Belt Buckle and, with the drive itself clearly part of the adventure.

One of our favorite parts of tourism is helping visitors plan their trips, answer questions and find their way to Abilene. It’s even more fun when they arrive in style!

Welcome to Abilene! We’re glad you made us part of the journey. ❤️

🇺🇸 America Likes Patriots 🇺🇸

For 250 years, America’s story has been shaped by patriots.

They are the men and women who served our country, defended our freedoms, answered the call in moments of crisis, helped their neighbors, and put service before self.

Today, on Patriot Day, we especially remember the patriots of September 11, 2001.

We remember the first responders who ran toward danger. The passengers and crew who showed extraordinary courage. The service members who answered their nation’s call. And the everyday Americans who came together in the days that followed.

As we commemorate America’s 250th anniversary, may we continue to remember and honor the patriots of every generation who have helped shape our nation.

🇺🇸 Today, we remember. Always, we honor.
