It’s a great lineup for fall! Light roasts are really in Barrington Roasters wheelhouse, so I went all in on these plus their fantastic Gold espresso. I’ve never seen crema’ like that of the Gold, which is a very very good thing in the espresso world! Also check out the hydrangea in this picture: it went from pure white to light pink just in the last few weeks. This plant is almost like a tree, it’s gotten so big, filling my picture window. Just the right amount of sun and water this summer, I think. Plus, it’s host to a whole little ecosystem with spiders and bees and other insects swarming it. Very cool, but I digress…
In other café’ news, the mango and ube’ sundaes have been a hit. Thanks everyone who stopped by last Sunday; it was a busy day, sunny and cool, just perfect conditions. The Iced Vietnamese coffee has been the crowd favorite, maybe even surpassing the maple lattes. But autumn is coming, so we will see. I’m also trying out a white chocolate iced mocha, which is going to be sensational. So give it a whirl.
We’re working on booking some music for a little late summer/early fall festival at Poseidon and Goose’s. Stay tuned for more info on that. As a working title, I’m thinking “Cappuccinos and Camaraderie,” but keep an eye out for details. Trying to squeeze a little more out of this summer… kayaking this Sunday; Shakespeare today; plus I’m fixing my motorbike this AM, which reminds me, I will be about an hour late to work today, so if you’re swinging by, I will be there 10:00-1:00. Wo, that was a massive run-on sentence. Anyway, just made a fresh lentil soup, now it’s time to get Nadine off to camp.
