Exciting news!

Six years ago, we opened Cork & Cap with a simple idea: create a place where good wine, good food, and good people could come together.

What happened next exceeded anything we could have imagined.

We've shared thousands of bottles, hosted countless tastings, celebrated milestones, weathered challenges, and built friendships that mean the world to us.

So if you've noticed the large blue "For Lease" sign on the fence, don't be alarmed.

Cork & Cap is not disappearing.

But this chapter is coming to a close.

At the end of June, we'll be saying goodbye to the yellow cottage, and introducing something entirely new.

A new name.

A new look.

A new space.

And a concept that reflects everything we've learned over the past six years.

Expect a more intimate experience centered around thoughtfully curated wines for purchase, a new wines by-the-glass program, and simple snacks built from the provisions we love.

We're incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported Cork & Cap along the way. You helped shape what comes next.

Today we're excited to share the first glimpse of the future.

Vignette, Wine Bar and Cellar, coming later this summer!

More details soon. 🥂

Due to rain during the original celebration, the Aiken Visitors Center and Train Museum is bringing back the fun for a special National Train Day Celebration on Saturday, June 13th! National Train Day is an annual holiday celebrating the impact trains have had on communities across the country, and this family-friendly event offers another chance to enjoy all the excitement.

Activities include thrilling trackless train rides, model train demonstrations by the Aiken Model Railroad Club, train story time with Mother Goose, and the return of the popular kids’ model railroad scenic workshop. In addition, model train enthusiasts of all experience levels are sure to find great deals at the annual “Freight Yard Sale.” No visit to National Train Day would be complete without a stop inside the historic 1918 Illinois Central Pullman car, where guests can experience a model railroad complete with literal bells and whistles.

Event admission is free. Trackless train ride tickets are $2.
