I’ve always been fascinated by the rugged survival and bold spirits of the American frontier. But for me, this history isn’t just in books... It’s in my DNA. As a direct descendant of Davy Crockett on my father's side, I grew up immersed in the legends of his life, from his early years hunting and pioneering in the mountains of East Tennessee to his fateful stand at the Alamo. But the American frontier story didn't actually end at the U.S. border.

Long before Alberta officially became a Canadian province in 1905, it was heavily shaped by American pioneers. In the late 1800s, Texas cattlemen drove massive herds straight up into the Alberta grasslands, and by the turn of the century, hundreds of thousands of American homesteaders moved north to tame the Canadian prairies. They brought American dryland farming technology, cowboy culture, and a fierce spirit of rugged individualism that still defines the region today. 🌾🐎

Now, I’m using my unique personal heritage and deep research into transnational history to help you experience these stories firsthand.
