My concrete work finally got done this past week for the new sidewalk and walkway. Glad to have that project done and it passed inspection!

I'm thrilled with the progress of my newly planted garden. I see flowering peas 🫛; blueberries 🫐and strawberries 🍓are getting berry sets and raspberry vines and potatoes 🥔are sprouting. I'll even get a few cherries 🍒 on the tree I just planted a few weeks ago.

What a beautiful Mother's Day 2026! I'm looking forward to all the fresh produce!

One major update was adding a ventless hood over the stove. Challenging due to the sloped wall/ceiling. So rather than a cabinet, I got this stainless-steel shelf to attach the hood to. With a lot of maneuvering and help from my contractor, it got done and looks good and very functional. My current guests say it works great!

Got most of my starts planted, along with some flowers now that threat of frost is past. What happened to my 60 degree days. Only a few, then straight into the 70s+. I even hung up a fake hornet's nest on the grapevine at the back to try and deter the dreaded wasps. I'm getting tired of being stung multiple times each season.

My Meyer lemon tree is looking terrific in the greenhouse. Keeping the doors open during the day to encourage airflow and keep things from getting too hot!🔥

Since leaving my homestead for small town living, I have added a few plants and fun pots for inside and outside, including bulbs that are in the frig. Still working on the outside landscaping, before I put everything in the ground. Guess I need plants to take care of whether its inside or outside.🪴

A new splash of color for the upstairs apartment bathroom. First pic is original color; 2nd pic is new spa color from Sherwin Williams. My painting of Gold's Beach that I painted in the mid 90s after a camping trip there looks lovely as well.

My bungalow's exterior got painted a week or so ago when temps were low here in the and it turned out beautifully with some creative efforts on behalf of my paint contractor. Since the humidity was high on my front porch, they covered it and heated it up with a heater.

My new garden area is coming along nicely. First pic is the before when the walnut tree was taken down last week. The 2nd shows the fencing going into place (I have to fence it in, so my Jack Russells don't eat and p*e on everything😆), w**d barrier was put down, then chips mostly from my walnut tree went down. The new pathway with gravel and pavers put in place to surround the new greenhouse once it arrives. The start of my raised beds...more beds to come. Shade cloth will be hung on the trellis for me and plants 😅. BTW, a beautiful day after all the rain!
