Beginning April 15, an anonymous donor has pledged up to $5,000 in matching funds for a six-week campaign. Every dollar donated during this time will be matched dollar-for-dollar, supporting educational programming, exhibits, and ongoing projects at the History Center in Albert Lea.

This matching gift campaign provides a unique opportunity for community members to amplify their support and help preserve and share the stories of Freeborn County.

“Support from our community makes it possible to continue offering meaningful programs and experiences that connect people to our shared history,” organizers said.

Donations of all sizes are encouraged and will go twice as far during the campaign period, which ends on June 30th. Donations can be made in the following ways:

In-person/By Mail at the History Center during open hours Wednesdays, Thursdays, & Fridays from 10am-4pm at 1031 Bridge Ave, Albert Lea
