Just back from an incredible week in Vienna at the ASTA River Cruise Expo.

I had the amazing opportunity to attend educational sessions, tour stunning river cruise ships, dine onboard, and connect with industry insiders from top cruise lines. It was a deep dive into what makes river cruising such a special way to travel.

What I found most appealing:

While wandering the charming streets of Salzburg, I noticed small golden cobblestones embedded in the sidewalk. These are Stolpersteine (stumbling stones), placed in memory of individuals who were persecuted and murdered during the Holocaust. Each one marks the last known residence of a victimā€”engraved with their name, birth date, and fate.

It was a powerful and sobering reminder that history isnā€™t just in museums; itā€™s beneath our feet, woven into the cities we explore.

Strolling through Salzburg, Austria felt like stepping into a fairy taleā€”except with better coffee and way more chocolate! ā˜•šŸ«

I spent my day meandering through the charming shopping streets and savoring a coffee break at CafĆ© Tomaselliā€”Austriaā€™s oldest coffee house.

Of course, Salzburg isnā€™t just about indulgence (but letā€™s be real, thatā€™s a highlight). The city is packed with must-sees:

Mozartā€™s Birthplace ā€“ Because no trip to Salzburg is complete without paying homage to the city's most famous resident.
Hohensalzburg Fortress ā€“ The views from the top are spectacular.
Mirabell Gardens ā€“ If you donā€™t hum Do-Re-Mi while twirling around here, did you even visit Salzburg?

Salzburg, you were charming, delicious, and just the right amount of bougie. šŸ˜„
