Join the for GardenFest, a fun, free, educational afternoon of garden-centric demonstrations, informational booths, and interactive activities on Sunday, April 27 from 12pm-4pm at the Colasanto Park baseball field, located at the intersection of Commonwealth & Mount Vernon Avenues. At GardenFest, you'll learn about gardening, at-home composting, growing native plants, and beekeeping, and can take home free native tree seedlings and seed packets!

The Dunbar Alexandria-Olympic Boys & Girls Club is the non-profit beneficiary of this year’s PNC Alexandria Half Marathon, and volunteers are needed to support this event! Help is needed at the Runners’ Gear Check Booth, located at the north end of Oronoco Bay Park (near Madison Street) in Old Town.

The race takes place this Sunday, April 27, with two volunteer shifts available:

We are so, so proud that this year's Del Ray Dog Fest raised an incredible $9,045 for Pawfectly Delicious Dog Treats and their mission to provide adults with disabilities the opportunity to engage in meaningful work and job training in an inclusive environment. "Del Ray was the first community that really embraced us. It really feels like we're home here," said Pawfectly Delicious Dog Treats Executive Director Anne Tuccillo. "This money will be used to help further strengthen our operational infrastructure and help provide opportunities for additional disabled adults."
