Congratulations to Jessica Aldama on three years as the owner of Red's Rock N' Shore Pub!

In September 2023, Jessica took an exciting step in her restaurant career. At just 23 years old—and already bringing 12 years of restaurant experience with her—she assumed ownership of Red’s Pub & Grill and began a new chapter for this longtime Algoma favorite.

Three years later, there’s plenty to celebrate!

Stop out Sunday, September 13, 2026, to join the anniversary celebration! Enjoy some great food, live music and the welcoming atmosphere Red’s is known for.

Located at 610 4th Street, The Pottery CO-OP showcases the creativity of local potters, with pieces ranging from functional favorites like mugs and bowls to whimsical works of art. It’s a wonderful place to browse, find a one-of-a-kind gift or bring home something special from Algoma.

There’s even more hometown creativity to discover this month! The Pottery CO-OP’s September Featured Artist is Tinsel Creations, based right here in Algoma. Stop in to see their featured creations while exploring the work of the CO-OP’s talented artists.

And be sure to take a look outside, too! The community totems are colorful reminders of the creativity that brings people together in Algoma. The pieces were created by community members and visitors during First Friday events in 2024, making the totems a collaborative work of art with contributions from many hands.
