Sunday, August 17, 2025, 10:35 AM: A few of the kiters stayed in Algoma overnight and are giving it a try to get some kites up in the air on Crescent Beach this morning for just a short while.

Our kiters aren’t quitters! They are on the beach now trying to put on a show (if the wind cooperates) for an hour or so. Stop over if you are still in town. 🪁

🪁⚡️ Due to lightning, the kites are grounded for the rest of the day. If you’d like to hang out a while longer, there’s still fun happening on the street and if the rain gets heavy, the Algoma Youth Club at the north end of the boardwalk is open to keep you dry. We’re so grateful for this community and can’t wait to see you again next year on Saturday, August 22, 2026.

The oldest in Wisconsin - so divine.

About The Algoma Chamber

Nestled on the shores of Lake Michigan is our quaint community in Northeast Wisconsin. Whether you are looking to reel in the big one on Lake Michigan, stroll our beautiful sandy beach and boardwalk or just relax with a glass of wine from a historic winery after a day of shopping and sightseeing, we have a place reserved just for you! About the Chamber: The Algoma Area Chamber of Commerce is a membership-driven organization. The day-to-day operations are handled by our Executive Director who also represents the Chamber within many organizations across the area from the Green Bay CVB to the Algoma Tourism & Promotions committee. Our Board of Directors is comprised of elected volunteers from member businesses who are dedicated investors in our community. We thank them all for the time and dedication they give guiding the events and activities of the Chamber. The Chamber offices are in the lower level of the Algoma Visitor Center, which has a million-dollar view and thanks to our volunteers, greets over 22,000 visitors to our city each year. Neither the Chamber nor the Visitor Center operate under the umbrella of the City of Algoma. As a matter of fact, the City of Algoma is a member of the Chamber! It is our great pleasure to promote and support our members who help make Algoma a great place in which to live, work, and play.
