Celebrating Earth Day!
Kewaunee County 4-H, WI had a wonderful time celebrating Earth Day with Mrs. Moll's 1st and 2nd graders from St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran School.

Cathy Pabich from Friends of Crescent Beach in Algoma explored all the special things that make the beach such a unique and important place. The students had a great time discovering natural treasures along the shoreline and learning how we can all help protect our environment.

It’s never too early to inspire the next generation of environmental stewards!

The 11th Annual Soar on the Shore Kite & Beach Festival, Algoma, WI may not have gone exactly as planned, storms rolled through and the wind wasn’t always on our side, but what an incredible few hours we had together on Crescent Beach.

🪁💙 We are so grateful for all of our amazing kiters, especially those who were here for the magical night fly and those who came back to the beach Sunday just to share their kites with us. It truly felt like one of our biggest turnouts and your support means the world. Soar on the Shore is our biggest fundraiser, helping the Friends of Crescent Beach in Algoma continue our mission to keep this beautiful shoreline thriving for all to enjoy.

Until next year, please enjoy some of the candid photos our volunteers shared of the festival. If you have favorites of your own, we’d love to see them too! We will be sharing more on our page soon! 📸✨

Our kiters aren’t quitters! They are on the beach now trying to put on a show (if the wind cooperates) for an hour or so. Stop over if you are still in town. 🪁

Official Cancellation: the 11th Annual Soar on the Shore Kite & Beach Festival, Algoma, WI is now wrapped up. 🪁☀️ We had so much fun with all of you at the beach today and are so grateful for our incredible kiters who brought the skies to life. Thank you to everyone who joined us and supported this special community event. We can’t wait to see you again next year on Saturday, August 22, 2026!

🪁⚡️ Due to lightning, the kites are grounded for the rest of the day. If you’d like to hang out a while longer, there’s still fun happening on the street and if the rain gets heavy, the Algoma Youth Club at the north end of the boardwalk is open to keep you dry. We’re so grateful for this community and can’t wait to see you again next year on Saturday, August 22, 2026.
