🪁 THAT’S A WRAP ON THE 2026 SOAR ON THE SHORE! 🪁 What a day! Thank you to everyone who came out, flew kites, explored the festival, supported our vendors and food trucks, and helped make this year’s Soar on the Shore such a special day in Algoma. 🩵
An event like this doesn’t happen without a lot of people behind the scenes, and we are incredibly grateful for the sponsors, businesses, organizations and volunteers who helped make it possible.

And an extra special thank you to the volunteers from Friends of Crescent Beach and the Wisconsin Kiters Club who gave their time, energy and talents to help bring the festival to life. 🪁

To every person who helped set up, volunteered, sponsored, participated, attended, shared a post, brought a friend or simply stopped by to enjoy the day: thank you. Soar on the Shore is truly a community effort, and we couldn’t do it without you. 💙

A little shoutout to Red Barn Corn Maze! 🦆 Their duck races were such a FUN addition to the festival this year and clearly was a hit with everyone!

If you haven't followed Red Barn Corn Maze yet, go give them a follow! Their corn maze and all of the fun activities they have planned each season are always worth checking out! 🩵🦆🌽

The 12th Annual Soar on the Shore Kite & Beach Festival, Algoma, WI has officially started! 🪁☀️

It’s a beautiful day to hang out at the beach! While the big kites aren’t up just yet—we need wind coming from the right direction (these kites are HEAVY! 😂)—the stunt kiters are already having a great time putting on a show.

Come enjoy the beach, sunshine, and festival fun. Hopefully the wind picks up soon and we’ll have a sky full of kites! 💨🪁

Wondering if there will be kites up tonight? 🪁👀

Check out the Algoma Area Chamber of Commerce we**am! Right now, our kiters have some of their kites up while the wind is cooperating. 🌬️🪁

Some kiters are on Crescent Beach trying to get some kites in the air. No official word on any night kites yet, so keep an eye on Soar on the Shore - Algoma, WI's page.

Please note that dogs are NOT allowed on the sand or in the water at Crescent Beach from May through September. Leashed dogs are allowed on the boardwalk and on the grass next to the west of the boardwalk year-round.

Happy Earth Day! 🌎

Greatful for everyone who helps care for our shore, today and every day. ❤️

Celebrating Earth Day!
Kewaunee County 4-H, WI had a wonderful time celebrating Earth Day with Mrs. Moll's 1st and 2nd graders from St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran School.

Cathy Pabich from Friends of Crescent Beach in Algoma explored all the special things that make the beach such a unique and important place. The students had a great time discovering natural treasures along the shoreline and learning how we can all help protect our environment.

It’s never too early to inspire the next generation of environmental stewards!
