Kip said that this was the year he would cross catching a sturgeon off his bucket list, so we did just that! Went three for 4 last night and 2 for three this morning when a 50’ish inch fish jumped at the back of the boat and threw the hook. We crossed a wide array of sizes off during our outings. Now Kip only needs a super jumbo!

Miyaki, Cho, and Erika had to take a rain delay on their morning, but the weight was worth it, as it allowed just the right timing to strike on a hundred pounder! Chris and Lisa came out for some feisty sturgeon action. They were running and jumping and doing everything they could. We managed to find a gremlin deep in the spool on a long run that allowed one fish to evade us. But we managed to hook up with our biggest fish only minutes afterwards to rectify the situation. Dakota came back for night two, this time he brought back Denny to settle his score from last season. A nice 69” fish to start the night followed by a shrinking progression of scale. The last fish was another pit tagged specimen. Great work fellas!
