🌲 NOW HIRING — 2027 SEASON 🌲
Allagash Guide Service | Allagash, Maine
We’re looking for a hard-working, dependable, versatile person to join our team for the 2027 season, approximately May through the end of August(might have some until end of Oct).
This is a “wear a lot of hats” kind of job. No two days are necessarily the same!
🚙 What You’ll Be Doing
* Driving customers and equipment for canoe trips in the North Maine Woods
* Canoe transportation and shuttle work
* Property maintenance and general upkeep
* W**d whacking and outdoor maintenance
* Working at bear bait sites
* Chainsaw work and basic trail/property clearing
* Various odds and ends that come with running a busy outdoor guide service
🛠️ What We’re Looking For
* Must have your own reliable 4-wheel-drive vehicle
* Must be comfortable working outdoors and in remote areas
* Must be able to safely operate a chainsaw
* Able to work independently and use good judgment
* Dependable, hardworking, and willing to do whatever the day requires
* Must be able to be paid through payroll
* Background check required
💰 Pay
Pay will be based on experience, skills, and how independently you can work.
Room and board may be available for the right person. (If you have a camper we have a place for it)
This is a great opportunity for someone who genuinely enjoys the outdoors, hunting, fishing, woods work, and the North Maine Woods and doesn’t mind getting their hands dirty.
