Happy National Dog Day from Tater! 🐾🖤

Tater would like everyone to know that she is a highly trained hunting dog, a valued member of The Sawbriar team… and is currently refusing to make eye contact with me because she just rolled in 💩.

No regrets.
No remorse.
Apparently, no need for personal hygiene. 🤦‍♀️😂

Happy National Dog Day to the good dogs, the working dogs, and the ones who occasionally make VERY questionable life choices. 🐶❤️

What a night for quail conservation! 🐦

Last night we joined our friends at the Smoky Mountain Quail Forever Chapter for their annual banquet—and once again, they packed the house with a sold-out crowd.

Guns, trips, prizes and even that pretty little English Setter puppy were donated to help raise money for a cause we care deeply about. 100% of the proceeds raised by the chapter stay focused on bobwhite quail conservation and introducing and educating the next generation of hunters.

Events like this don't just happen. Behind that room full of people is a group of volunteers who work tirelessly throughout the year—gathering donations, organizing the event and turning the generosity of supporters into real dollars for conservation.

The Sawbriar is incredibly proud to sponsor this banquet each year, but we're even more grateful for the partnership and friendships we've built with this group. We see firsthand how much they care about the future of quail, habitat and our hunting heritage.

Congratulations to the entire Smoky Mountain Quail Forever crew on another fantastic night. We're blessed to call you partners—and even more blessed to call you friends. 🧡

And yes... it took some serious restraint not to bring that puppy home. 😂🐶

If you've spent any time at The Sawbriar, chances are you've met Buck.

He's been with us since the very beginning and has become one of those familiar faces that makes this place feel like home. Whether he's helping guides, lending a hand to hunters, fixing whatever needs fixing, or quietly making sure things get done, Buck is always there.

Reliable. Hard-working. Always willing to help.

When hunting season winds down, you'll usually find Buck doing what he loves most—camping, fly fishing, and enjoying the outdoors. Then, when fall rolls back around, he's right back at the lodge, ready to do it all again.

Not every day at Sawbriar is pointing dogs and cool November mornings.

Summer means habitat work, fertilizer, wildflowers... and sometimes cleaning up after Mother Nature has other plans.

We're thankful everyone is safe. The cleanup can wait.

Every season plays a role in creating the places our wildlife—and our hunters—enjoy each fall.
