Day 2 Recap: Another early morning to ride the new Harry Potter ride, Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure. BONUS - first riders of the day! We then were able to hit multiple other rides throughout the day and enjoy lunch at Mythos (delicious!) We ended our day early & spent some time resting in our hotel. Now we are waiting for the Bachelor to be aired 🌹 Are you watching?

Why use a travel advisor? So you have a better chance to be the first guest of the day to ride Hagrids Magical Creature Motorbike Adventure. This morning we were escorted through the line to the ride since we were the first ones. By the time we had done 3 other rides, Hagrids was all ready up to a 2 hour wait and is still rising.

Arrived at 6:15am for 8am open at Hollywood Studios. Right at 8am boarding Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway we snagged boarding group 68! So far a perfectly magical morning!! @ Disney's Hollywood Studios

I will be out of the office Saturday, March 7 - Sunday March 14, experiencing all of the NEW attractions at UNIVERSAL ORLANDO and HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS at Walt Disney World with two of my daughters for Spring Break. Follow along as we share the "how's" of doing Universal and Walt Disney World right - and sometimes wrong, so you can avoid our mistakes!

I will resume planning with all guests when I return to the office Monday, March 15, 2020.

Wilderness Lodge Refurbished Rooms!

Wilderness Lodge is currently undergoing room refurbishment on the "cash side" of the resort. Today the first of those rooms were released back into inventory. The only rooms that are done right now are the 7th floor club level rooms. They are currently working on the 6th floor and have started on part of 5 as well. Projected completion of the entire project is late summer/early fall.

These rooms were several years overdue for a refurb, so there are quite a few changes:

• LOTS more lighting - these rooms used to be super dark but are very well lit now

• A really cool looking backlit "rock" built into the wall between the bathroom and the bedroom area (similar to the one in Copper Creek but it's actually a light instead of just a window)

• New closet system, and replaced the iron/ironing board with a steamer

• Keurig coffee maker

• Large flatscreen tv

• No desk/table, but instead 2 smaller bedside tables

• Hard floors throughout

• Barn door on the bathroom

• All new furniture - dresser, nightstand, headboards, closets

• USB outlets in the nightstand and dresser

• Raised beds with under-the-bed storage

• Sliding glass doors on the tub/shower and new rainforest style + detachable shower heads

They've also added a new room category as well: King Room Club Level. There aren't very many, but they are a bookable category. The king rooms also (at least on the 7th floor) have walk-in showers instead of tubs.
