Happy International Women’s Day.

We caught up with one of our female guides, Emilie Drinkwater, to hear about her career as a female mountain guide. Emilie is an AMGA/IFMGA mountain guide with 25 years of experience. She has an extensive background guiding in technical mountain terrain and has completed first ascents and descents in remote regions around the world.

We asked Emilie what she thinks women bring to guiding that is often overlooked — and what lessons the mountains have taught her along the way.

Her calm presence and sharp decision-making make her a guest favorite. We're incredibly grateful to have her here at Powderbird.
