Another great campground to stay at in the Florida Keys is Sun Outdoors n Islamorada. RV sites are long with full hookups and a paver patio area on the camp side with table and chairs. You can also upgrade to a site with gas fire pit, BBQ grill, and pergola.

There is a pool area with food truck, boat docks, swim beach, laundry facilities, workout room, and game area with pool table and foosball table.

There is a great beach up the road in founders park and you don’t have pay an entrance fee if you are staying at Sun Outdoors.

You are also down the road from Robbie’s which is known for great food and you can purchase fish to feed to the tarpon from the docks.

The first leg of our trip in the Western side of the Florida Keys is over. Heading to Sun Outdoors in Islamorada tomorrow to check out the Eastern part of the Keys. Great trip so far!

Spring begins next week. Who has camping plans scheduled? We are heading to the Florida Keys in April then heading up to Savannah Georgia to explore on the way back. Very excited!

This campground was completely updated and reopened this year. Beautiful crystal clear water of Huzzah Creek to cool off in on those hot summer days.

At the Newmar Service Facility and campground for the week. The Newmar experience is great. You get to stay onsite at their full hookup campground during your service visit. Each day your tech comes out about 6am to pickup your coach and move it into the service bay. At the end of each day they email you a copy of the work order outlining what has been done and return your coach at 2pm so you can stay in it each night. Unlike most dealers, they give you a badge and you can go out to the service area to talk with the tech and check on your coach whenever you want.

Remember to move your items away from your fire pit at night when staying in windy areas. I was watching the stars last night at Palo Duro State Park when I saw a big blaze at the neighbors site. He had left his chairs out and one of them blew over into the fire pit bursting into flames. Luckily he saw it and extinguished it.
