A quick note from ATN to our travelers headed to Mexico 🇲🇽 — especially the Cancun, Riviera Maya & Los Cabos areas.
We understand headlines can raise concerns. Please know we are actively monitoring all destinations our clients are visiting and never take your safety — or your investment — lightly.
Travel to Quintana Roo (Cancún, Playa del Carmen, Tulum, Cozumel & Riviera Maya) continues as planned and remains at a U.S. State Department Level 2 advisory — the same as many Caribbean destinations. Recent news has centered around Puerto Vallarta on Mexico’s Pacific Coast, approximately 2,500 miles from the Caribbean resort areas.
There are currently no active threats reported in Cabo San Lucas or San José del Cabo, and these destinations continue operating normally with strong tourism infrastructure and security presence.
No destination in the world comes with guarantees — informed, smart travel is key. Stay in established tourist areas, use authorized transportation, and practice the same awareness you would in any major city.
For all international travel, we recommend enrolling in the free STEP program through the U.S. State Department:

We also strongly recommend comprehensive trip protection — including Cancel For Any Reason and emergency medical coverage — because every vacation is an investment worth protecting.
We are praying for peace in Jalisco and look forward to continuing to build strong partnerships in Puerto Vallarta very soon.
Please be mindful of misinformation and sensationalized headlines. If you have questions about your specific trip, reach out to your travel advisor — we are here to provide accurate information and peace of mind every step of the way. 🤍
