The Clipper Wrestling Club is hosting a FREE Clipper Launch Camp for kids ages 5 through 8th grade!

📅 Oct. 26-29
⏰ 5:30-7 p.m.
📍 Amboy Schools, 11 E. Hawley Road

The camp is open to students from Amboy, La Moille, Ashton, Franklin Grove, Paw Paw, Mendota, Sublette, Lee Center, Ohio, homeschool and private schools!

Whether your child is new to wrestling or looking to get involved, this is a great opportunity to hit the mat!

The library's Pumpkin Decorating Contest is underway through Monday, Oct. 26! Stop by the library to pick up a FREE pumpkin, decorate it and return it for a chance to win!

🏆 Categories include Silliest, Cutest, Spookiest, Most Detailed and Best Overall!

Pumpkins must be returned by 5 p.m. Oct. 26 for judging and picked up by Oct. 29.

🎃 TREAT STREET IS THIS SATURDAY! 🍬👻

Looking for some family-friendly Halloween fun this weekend? Head to downtown Dixon on Saturday, Oct. 24, for Discover Dixon's annual Treat Street Parade Palooza!

Get the kids dressed up in their best Halloween costumes and enjoy a morning of festive fun, a costume parade, awards, trick-or-treating and more! 🍭

🎃 HERE'S THE SCHEDULE:

🕘 9 a.m. - Parade Assembly at Haymarket Square (317 W. Third St.)

🏆 9:15 a.m. - Costume Judging Concludes

👻 9:30 a.m. - Costume Parade Begins

🎉 10 a.m. - Costume Awards & Dismissal to Treat Street

🍬 10-11:30 a.m. - Treat Street at participating downtown businesses and Trunk & Treat at OSF Town Square Family Health Center (102 S. Hennepin Ave.)

🏆 Costume awards will be presented in four age categories: Pre-K, kindergarten-first grade, second-third grade and fourth-eighth grade!

Parents are welcome to walk in the parade with their children! Those participating in costume judging should be assembled at Haymarket Square by 9 a.m.

Make some Halloween memories and enjoy a fun-filled Saturday morning in downtown Dixon! 🧡

🎃 Two fun ways to get in on the action at Dixon’s Scarecrow Festival!

Whether you’re ready to get creative or put your pumpkin engineering skills to the test, there’s something for everyone:

🌾 Scarecrow Contest – Families, businesses, organizations and groups can create their own scarecrow to be displayed throughout downtown Dixon! Prizes will be awarded to the three most creative entries.

🏁 Pumpkin Derby – Build your own pumpkin racer and send it flying down Hennepin Avenue! The races begin at 1 p.m. during Scarecrow Festival, with categories for kids, teens, adults, families and businesses/organizations.

Make a scarecrow, build a racer – or do both! 🎃🍂

Scarecrow Festival returns to downtown Dixon on Saturday, Oct. 17! Find "Scarecrow Festival" under the "Events" tab at the Discover Dixon website for all the information you need!
