I had a coworker ask me recently “do you ever get nervous when your clients are traveling and you don’t hear from them.” I pretty quickly responded “No. I usually consider no news to be good news. If they call me when they are traveling, that usually means something is going wrong or they have a question.”
So a few days after that conversation when my phone started to ring, and the name that popped up was a client I knew was currently traveling with a group of nearly 20 in Greece, my heart stopped. Uh oh. This can’t be good. But it was just the opposite! He just wanted to let me know that this trip had been almost unanimously declared “the best vacation ever.” Phew…my heart started to beat again. Lol He shared some of the exciting things various members of the group had seen, toured and experienced. He sent me pictures and told me they were already talking about where to go next!
This trip was a whirlwind!! Two nights in Athens before boarding a four night cruise with seven stops. You read that right. Four nights. Seven stops. But they said it was perfect for being able to hit several high points in the area…Mykonos, Santorini, Ephesus, Patmos, Rhodes, and more!
And I was able to handle every step for them. From booking the cruise as a package with pre cruise hotel and all their transfers to group and private excursions while they were in the various ports. I worked with them to build the perfect itinerary for their trip.
