UPDATE: TSA has reversed/clarified the earlier notice. PreCheck remains operational at this time. Some locations may adjust lane availability based on staffing, so we still recommend arriving early and checking your airport status before you go. Global Entry processing is still reported as paused during the shutdown.

✈️ Travel Advisor Alert (Feb 22, 2026): TSA PreCheck Pause

As of Sunday, February 22, 2026 (starting 6:00 a.m. ET), TSA PreCheck is temporarily suspended nationwide due to the ongoing partial U.S. Department of Homeland Security shutdown. This is a system-wide change at all U.S. airports.

What this means for travelers:
• ✅ If you’re enrolled in PreCheck, you’ll be sent through standard TSA screening lanes until service is restored
• ⏳ No timeline yet for when PreCheck returns
• 🔎 CLEAR is still operating for identity verification, but you’ll still complete standard screening afterward

Our advice:
• Arrive earlier than usual (especially for morning departure peaks)
• Pack like it’s 2009: be ready to remove shoes/liquids/laptops depending on the lane

Heads up for Orlando travelers: Orlando International Airport (MCO) is in a multi-year Gate Link (terminal tram) replacement project affecting access to gates 70–129 build in extra time getting to/from the airsides.
