Mouse Expedition Your Ultimate Guide to the Disneyland Resort “The Best Time I’ve Ever Had at Disneyland.”

That quote was the springboard behind the inspiration for this site.

Over the years, friends, family and co-workers have been delighted by the joy and magic that they have experienced on every journey we have made to the Disneyland Resort. Now, for the first time I am ready to share my in-depth knowledge of all things Disneyland to make your trip the most memorable and magical ever.

Introducing the GENIE Service (trip planning service). This Genie Service will be free to use. Will this be a good service and really focus on the guest experience or what Disney wants you to do? We will test it when it is released.

As expected, the FREE Fastpass system will no longer be available with the Genie Service. For a Fastpass type service you will need to buy into Genie+ at $20 per person per day. Works like MaxPass did with FP selections but you may have to pay an extra fee for certain attractions, example Radiator Springs Racers. Note that this is not completely clear.

We’re almost ready to let Disney Genie out of the lamp! Coming this fall to Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort, Disney Genie is a complimentary and convenient new digital service designed to create your best Disney day.

New Guidelines starting on June 15th at the Disneyland Resort Parks...

Guest Experience

We are excited to welcome out-of-state Guests beginning June 15, at which time we will discontinue the requirement for on-site temperature checks. The state has removed the physical distancing requirements with respect to Guests, so we will allow Guests to self-determine distancing.

Face Coverings for Guests

Starting June 15, face coverings will no longer be required for fully vaccinated Guests both indoors and outdoors. Guests (ages 2 and up) who are not fully vaccinated must continue wearing face coverings indoors, except when dining.

While Guests will not be required to show proof of vaccination, vaccinated Guests will self-attest that they are in compliance prior to entry. In addition, all Guests will need to attest that they are aware of the State of California’s strong recommendation that guests be fully vaccinated or receive a negative COVID-19 test prior to entering the theme parks when making their Disneyland Resort theme park reservations.

When the Toy Story parking lot reopens on June 18, all Guests (ages 2 and up) regardless of vaccination status will be required to wear an appropriate face covering while on the bus transportation from the lot to the parks.

Theme Park Reservations

As we continue to welcome Guests back to our parks, we will continue to do so through our reservation system, which was implemented due to capacity limits when the parks reopened.

How to visit Universal Studios Hollywood as of 4/16:
- Get to the park an hour early. The park usually opens before official park opening. Reminder: It takes about 30-40 minutes to get from parking structure to front gate.
- Head to Lower Lot first. The attractions in this area have low capacity due to social distancing and not filling up the entire vehicle.
Jurassic World should be the first attraction you get on. The boats are not leaving at full capacity so the wait will be crazy long later.
- While in line for Jurassic World, get a Virtual Queue time for Secret Life of Pets, recommend 2-3 hours from the current time. So if it is 10am, get a time between 12pm-1pm.
- Mummy second, and Transformers 3rd. You want to finish up the Lower Lot at one time so you do not have to travel up and down the escalators.
- Attraction lines in the Harry Potter area are usually not too bad and move fast.
- Do the tram tour when time permits.
- Simpsons and Minions Mayhem are currently closed.
