Today, we recognize those who attended U.S. Indian Boarding Schools and honor those who never came home.

National Day of Remembrance for Indian Boarding Schools brings awareness to the atrocities and generational impacts of those affected by boarding schools. Also known as Orange Shirt Day, we encourage everyone to use this day as a time of reflection, acknowledgement of truth and work toward healing.

Learn more about U.S. Indian Boarding School history and find other resources and research on National Native American Boarding School Healing Coalition’s website: https://boardingschoolhealing.org/
