APU Outdoor Programs

APU Outdoor Programs Come down to the basement of Atwood Center and check out the Outdoor Programs rock wall, weight room, and equipment room! Check us out!

We have alot of gear to set you up for your next outdoor adventure! We will be open May 3-Aug 20th Mon-Fri 11-6. We also provide instructional and guided trips. If you are interested in learning how to packraft, whitewater kayak, sea kayak, stand up paddleboard, backpack, rock climb, ski, snowboard, or be awesome, we have certified and knowledgeable instructors to help you learn in a safe and fun manner! Contact us for information on trips, dates, or custom trips.

Looking to buy and sell used gear?!?!

The Alaska Pacific University Gear swap is coming soon!! Check in your gear Friday, April 4th from 4:30-7 p.m. and again Saturday, April 5th from 8-9 a.m. at Moseley. Starting April 5th at 10am till 1pm to buy quality used gear. Any items not sold can either be picked up by 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 5th, or donated to APU. Access the link above and go through the steps to print out your gear sale tags. 15% of the profits from your gear is donated to APU goes to support the outdoor programs classes.

Sadly, we ended it our Dogsled Pass transverse early due to warm weather closing in; ⬆️ avalanche hazards. 💨 🏔️
We survived the Intro to Winter Wilderness transverse! Big shout out to our APU instructors Anne, Tim, and Aubrey helping and teaching us throughout our transverse. We did a fair share of getting whipped by the wind and soaked by the wet snow.
We are home safe and resting. We will debrief and reflect on our experience next week.
