So you're traveling to Alaska in late August to early September. Here's what to expect:

πŸŒ¦οΈπŸ’¨β„οΈ Variable weather - Seasons change rapidly and vary a lot by location, so you may find misty rain in Seward, blustery days in Anchorage, and a dusting of snow in Denali. Pack your layers.

🌌 Dark nights - We're losing daylight, but that's not a bad thing! It means that you have a chance to see the northern lights. Keep an eye on those dark fall skies for a glimmer of green.

πŸ‚ Fall colors - Especially in the Denali area, one of our most favorite fall foliage destinations

If you're looking for a dome train option in Alaska, check out the Wilderness Express. Often the last couple cars on the train (great views!), private, with great food and hosts.
