5 Things You Can't Miss in Seward

(There's way more than five...but this gets you started!)

- Spire Cove
- Exit Glacier
- Resurrect Art Coffeehouse
- Temperate Rainforest Trails (Two Lakes, Lowell Point)
- Alaska SeaLife Center

Spire Cove – Iconic sea stacks in Resurrection Bay. Head out on a day cruise to Kenai Fjords National Park and you’ll swing through them.

Exit Glacier – Every glacier in Alaska has its standout qualities. Exit Glacier is fascinating for how quickly it is retreating, and the scoured landscape it is leaving in its wake. Take the overlook trail from the Exit Glacier Nature Center to see it yourself.

Rainforest Trails - Think misty fairy land surrounded by snow-capped peaks. The Two Lakes trail is a good option within walking distance of the Small Boat Harbor.

Alaska SeaLife Center – Alaska’s only marine wildlife rehabilitation center. They do important work, and the facility is a must-visit.

Resurrect Art Coffeehouse – When it gets a little misty and cool, warm up with a hot beverage here. It’s also a wonderful place to find local artwork, jewelry, and ceramics.

Wildlife edition 🐻

The eagle won't land on a moose by a river where bears fish for salmon as a Dall sheep strolls by. But spotting real wildlife in the real wild, that's an experience you'll never forget 😊

Memorial Day - A day to honor, a day of gratitude. To those who have served no matter the sacrifice, our deepest thanks.

One of our favorite places to grab a pint and bite in Anchorage just reopened for the summer -- the beer garden at 49th State Brewing!

Granted...the weather's still a little chilly. But the vibes are warm 🌞

Some common questions that are popping up from travelers coming to Alaska this summer...

Q: Will it really be light at midnight?
A: Sure will. Here in Anchorage we don't see true night from about April 18 to August 23 👏🌞

Q: Do I need my passport to go to Alaska?
A: If you're a US citizen traveling direct from the Lower 48, no need to bring a passport. If you are not a US citizen or if you're taking a cruise, you need to bring your passport.

Q: What's the weather going to be like?
A: Let's just say...weather forecasting is tough up here 🙃

✨Wow!✨

Starting this season off on the right foot down in Seward! Or should we say ... right dorsal?
