Today on Taste Like Somewhere, I’m excited to welcome Amy Emberling, Managing Partner of Zingerman’s Bakehouse. Amy has been with Zingerman’s for decades, shaping not only the Bakehouse but also the broader food community with her leadership, creativity, and deep knowledge of baking traditions from around the world.

From classic breads to innovative pastries, Amy and her team have built the Bakehouse into a place where craft, care, and community come together. She’s also a teacher, mentor, and co-author of beloved cookbooks that bring Zingerman’s recipes into kitchens everywhere.

I can’t wait to dig into Amy’s story, her approach to baking, and the lessons she’s learned leading one of the most iconic bakeries in America.
