Our neighbors celebrating 5 years! 🎉🎉🎉 We LOVE North Shore Cafe!

North Shore Café owners Colleen and Scott Geller celebrated their café’s fifth anniversary on Feb. 15. “We started the business five years ago, right before the pandemic. We’ve gone through a pandemic and a hurricane or two. We love it and it’s been a lot of fun,” Colleen said a few days before the anniversary date. As for the current, post-hurricane conditions, she said, “Things are going well. Almost our entire staff came back and our kids are old enough now to help with the rebuilding. We were really fortunate.” Located at 304 Pine Ave. in Anna Maria and open for breakfast and lunch, the North Shore Café is known for its Acai bowls and other healthy menu offerings that include sugar-free smoothies and protein drinks, bread and baked goods freshly baked in Tampa and more. “Everything’s made to order; and if we don’t make it ourselves, we have great local partners that make it fresh for us,” Scott said. The business also includes an adjacent retail shop that offers hats, T-shirts and sweatshirts featuring originally-designed graphics. “Scott used to work in fashion, so this is his passion project.” Colleen said of the retail operations.
