Where do I begin?
Hurricane Helene 🌀has taught us so much about owning property in Florida. The good, the bad, and the sand🏖️. But more then the education of hurricane disaster the witness of kind people🥰. I have seen it all. First our condo Hello Sunshine ☀️truly is a miracle. If you have stayed there you know it’s practically beachfront and ground level. We had minimal damage. We had some water and silt and sand get in our door but not enough to have to remove any furniture or dry wall. An absolute miracle. The pool and landscape will be cleaned and back to its relaxing vibe hopefully in a few weeks.
Our home Shore Beats Work is elevated so upstairs had no damage. Our downstairs carport collected 12 garbage cans and about 2 feet of seaweed debris. Our pool room closet got flooded🌊 as well and landscape of course was flooded with salt water. We will be rebuilding the pool room soon. It took a lot of strength 💪🏻to get the seaweed debris cleaned up but we did.
We are fortunate. Others around us not so much. There are piles and piles of furniture throughout the island from homes that were flooded😭. Our heart hurts for them. Yes it’s just “stuff” but none the less very hard to throw it all away. We have helped in many ways this week. It’s been humbling seeing kindness again and again. The island will sparkle✨ again and we can’t wait to host family and friends again at our home and condo. Please come back to AMI and support the island. It’s much needed💵. Thank you to all who have reached out to check on Hello Sunshine and Shore Beats Work.
