The Magic of Disney is in the details! ✨

The next time you’re in Animal Kingdom, make sure to look up! You will notice tons of authentic Tibetan prayer flags lining the Himalayan village of Serka Zong in Animal Kingdom.

While many of us may never get to travel to the real Himalayan villages near Mt Everest, the Disney Imagineers brought the details to Florida so we all may experience a taste of what life is like in Nepal.

The Tibetan prayer flags use five specific colors in a set order to represent the natural elements: blue (sky), white (air), red (fire), green (water), and yellow (earth). The flags are left up to tatter and weather in the wind which symbolizes the blessing (prayers) blowing across the village and to those brave enough to scale Everest. If you look close, you will see familiar Disney friends adorning the flags!

This is just one example of the many Imagineering details found across Walt Disney World that truly creates the Magic!✨
