🚤 ATTENTION CHAIN O’LAKES BOATERS 🚤

On Saturday, June 7th from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM, the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary will be offering FREE Vessel Safety Checks at Cypress Resort on Petite Lake!

Simply pull up to our docks and their team will assist you with a courtesy inspection to help make sure your boat is safe and properly equipped for the season.

✅ What you’ll need to pass a Vessel Safety Check:

• Current state registration/displayed numbers
• Proper registration paperwork onboard
• USCG-approved life jackets for all passengers
• Throwable flotation device (if required)
• Fire extinguisher(s) in good condition
• Working navigation lights
• Sound-producing device (horn or whistle)
• Proper ventilation (if applicable)
• Backfire flame arrestor (gas-powered inboards)
• Battery secured and electrical system in safe condition
• Marine sanitation device (if applicable)
• Overall safe vessel condition

Boaters who pass will receive a current Vessel Safety Check decal showing your boat meets USCG safety recommendations.

The Chain was hit hard by flooding. Our docks, homes, and businesses were tested once again. But this community doesn’t stay down for long. We’re coming together, rebuilding our docks, restoring our homes, and getting our boats back on the water.

There’s something powerful about watching everyone roll up their sleeves and show up for each other. That’s what makes any community special.

Summer in Lake County is still going to shine. ✨
