This morning we were contacted by several local agencies and concerned citizens about the use of airboats South of Highway 98. While our Captains were not involved, on behalf of Apalachicola Airboat Excursions, Apalachicola Airboat Adventures, and Apalachicola Family Airboats, we would like to sincerely apologize. We strive to always be respectful. Running our airboats after 9am and shutting them down at sunset. We ourselves are avid hunters and support the traditions that have long been held within our county. We are hopeful that the individual running this morning did so with no ill intent. We will do our best to help educate the fellow airboat captains frequenting our wonderful Bay. Thank you for all of your support.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is looking for Alanah Cripe, who was last seen on St. George Island last night at 11:30pm. She is 15 years old, left the house wearing white shoes, black pants, black backpack and either white or gray hoodie. Please call immediately with any information 850-670-8500.
