NEW this year - support local non-profits by taking a few whacks at our Car Smash fundraiser!

A “car smash,” sponsored by The Breaking Point LLC-Rage Room and Gibson Iron & Metal Inc., will be held from 5 – 8 p.m. during License to Cruise. It's $10 for 3 “smashes” and proceeds will be returned to the community via the Octoberfest grant program. To ensure participant safety, the car has been stripped of all glass and fluids. Participants must be 18 or older, will need to sign a waiver prior to their turn, and must wear closed toe shoes and safety equipment provided by The Breaking Point. Do you know why License to Cruise happens the night before Octoberfest? Started in 1990, this family-friendly car show takes over College Ave. to continue the Friday night tradition of cruising the avenue! Our event brings in over 400 classic cars every year, with our yearly features being shown in the Fox Cities Expo Center.

Check out some of unique vehicles that will be at this year's event; Paul Kryszak is bringing his 1955 Chevrolet 3100 pickup truck AND his 1976 VW Westphalia Bus!

1955 Chevrolet 3100 pickup truck:
Paul found this truck on Facebook and bought it from an older couple who couldn't drive it anymore (and who wanted more room in their garage). It will be on display in the Expo Center at License to Cruise.

1976 VW Westphalia Bus:
Paul's had the bus for 17 years; it's a California bus, and while it was solid it was definitely in rough shape when he bought it. Now look at what a beauty he's turned it into! The bus will be displayed on College Ave. for all of our foot traffic to enjoy.

Paul has been attending License to Cruise for many years now, and he continues to return because it's his "favorite car show" - we hope you join Paul in attending this year's event on September 27 from 3 - 9 PM!
