๐ŸŽฃ Coastal Bend Fishing Update โ€“ Aransas Pass ๐ŸŒŠ

Fishing conditions around Aransas Pass are shaping up well right now, especially for redfish (red drum). According to Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) coastal fishing reports, seasonal patterns and cooler water temperatures create favorable conditions for redfish, with fish commonly found around passes, channels, oyster reefs, and shallow flats.

๐ŸŸ Redfish Tips:
Anglers are having success using live shrimp, cut bait, and soft plastics worked slowly near structure and tidal movement. Early mornings and moving tides can be especially productive.

๐Ÿ  Flounder Season Update:
Flounder season is currently open in Texas as of December 15, following the annual seasonal closure that protects spawning fish. TPWD regulations allow harvest during the open season, with a minimum length of 15 inches and current daily bag limits in place.

Flounder are commonly found near channel edges, drop-offs, marsh drains, and pass areas, where they lie on the bottom waiting for bait to move with the tide.

๐Ÿ“Œ Reminder:
A valid Texas fishing license with saltwater endorsement is required, and anglers should always follow Texas Parks and Wildlife Department regulations to help conserve our coastal fisheries.

๐ŸŽฃ Need a fishing license?
You can get your Texas fishing license right here at the Aransas Pass Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Center before heading out on the water.
