Route 66 has long been celebrated in film, music, art, photography, and books. Now, TOURIST TRAP TEES brings you the legends of the road and the stories behind them in a collection of eye-grabbing shirts that range from terrifying ghostly tales to the highway’s most famous tourist traps. TTT was created by Joel Rayburn, who fell in love with the stories and the signs of the route after moving from Tennessee to Oklahoma in 2007. Along with designing visuals drawn from the lore of the route, he undertook an apprenticeship with neon sign artisan David Rivers, and is now honing the craft of building vintage signs from the highway’s heyday. A partnership was then formed with long-time Route 66 advocates Jim Ross and Shellee Graham, who enthusiastically embraced his goal of sharing these incredible stories and images with roadies everywhere. Ross and Graham are both well known Route 66 authors, photographers, and preservationists who also share a love for classic neon signs. The team at TTT is well stocked with creativity and percolating with ideas that will be transformed into more incredible designs over the coming months, so check back often to see the latest legend from Route 66.

First day back in the shop after a little vacation. Wanted to give a preview of next years line of t-shirts. We have one more to print for this year, The Atomic Highway, but I felt the need to design today. Same soft quality ink and tee! I'll let the first 20 go for $10 if you are interested. Might not even wait till next year if there is enough buzz. Let me know what you think! Oh, yeah, for preview orders...I would let you pic youth and ladies' fitted tee sizes...after that...it will be Tultex regular fit. I'll even get you a hoodie at a minimum cost.

IT'S OFFICIAL...The retail part of GlassBoy Studios will be open tomorrow from 10am - 4pm. We still have a little ways to go with retail furniture, but stop by, shake howdy and take a look around. You may like one of the many art pieces by some of the Route favorite artist... Jerry Mcclanahan, Shellee Graham, Alison Lamons, and Jim Ross! The neon shop will be up and running by the end of the week and you can start thinking about a custom neon sign for your home, man/woman cave or business. I want to think everyone for your encouragement and support. I want GlassBoy Studios to be a true light on Route 66!

Wanted to throw a new design out that we will be selling at the studio. This is the first of eight designs that will cover the mysterious creatures that prowl Route 66.

Oklahoma is up first with two amazing creatures from the northeast part of the state. Pictured are The Killer Octopi of the lakes and rivers around Tulsa and The Ozark Howler that prowls the night in the Spooklight area of Oklahoma, Kansas, and Missouri.
