Milwaukee/Mackinac Island 2026!
We enjoyed a city tour of Milwaukee by motorcoach and boat. We also toured the Pabst Mansion. Milwaukee is filled with beautiful architecture, homes, and buildings. After leaving Milwaukee, we drove around the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. At St Ignace, we drove the 5 mile length of the Mackinac Bridge over to Mackinaw City where we took the ferry to Mackinac Island.

Our last day of traveling Missouri's Rt 66 was full of nostalgia and fun! We stopped in Ash Grove at Gary's Gay Parita, an old Sinclair gas station, to see a lot of "blast from the past" items. Our next stop was in Carthage. We saw the Boots Court Motel, the Jasper County Courthouse, and the Rt 66 Drive In Theater. On our way to Joplin to see its Rt 66 Mural Park, we stopped by the Praying Hands Monument in Webb City. We ended our day with a performance at the Stone's Throw Dinner Theater.

We visited the David Warther Museum which showcases his amazing ivory carvings of sailing ships. David himself led us on the tour. Lunch was at the Dennison Train Depot where toured the museum and heard the story of how the Canteen got started and what it meant to the million soldiers who stopped there on there on their way to serve in World War 2. We ended our day with a Salute to Old Glory presentation.
