The Museum of Appalachia in Clinton, Tennessee is a wonderful recreated Appalachian community featuring log cabins, barns, a school, church, 3 exhibit buildings, and so much more. We enjoyed walking through the village, hearing some Bluegrass music, and eating a delicious lunch.

We began our day in Bristol, Virginia touring the The Birthplace of Country Music Museum. We enjoyed some wonderful bluegrass music while there. Then we traveled to Abingdon and visited the Southwest Virginia Cultural Center.

A busy day in East Tennessee! First we traveled to Greeneville to visit the President Andrew Johnson National Historic Site. Also in Greeneville we stopped by the Burlap Bunny for snacks and shopping. Then we drove over to Bull's Gap to the Myers Farm for lunch. Vera Ann Myers was a wonderful host and we all got to take home a little pumpkin. After visiting Yoder's Country Market, we made our way to Bristol for a tour of the Bristol Motor Speedway where we visited the Owner's Suite and had a ride around the track in our motorcoach.

A fun day in East Tennessee! We enjoyed a beautiful drive through Great Smoky Mountains National Park to the Tennessee/North Carolina state line at Newfound Gap. After returning to Pigeon Forge, we had a lunch stop at the Island and a wonderful show at the Country Tonite Theater.
