To unpack or not to unpack? I have always preferred to "live out of my suitcase" in a hotel. It seemed silly to take the time to move everything from suitcase to drawers and back again. But somehow, a cruise hits differently. Maybe it's the difference in available storage space. I can't wait to get that suitcase emptied so I can shove it under the bed and out of sight! Or maybe it's the homey feeling of a cruise, like an all-inclusive resort. It's not just a hotel that you operate out of while you're in the city; it's a whole floating city of its own that you are now a part of, from morning coffee runs to after-dinner shows. Whatever the difference, I find myself eager to get unpacked that first afternoon on board, so I can feel like I am finally "home" on the ship. Do you unpack, or prefer suitcase living?
(Also, just have to say, I LOVE that hanging closet organizer. It compresses down to lay in one half of my open suitcase, and then pops up to hang in the closet in my destination, with shelves for easy access.
