Parents of nerdy teens, we highly recommend this... LARP Program! Our Marshal's Academy is for students in 9th grade and up. Instead of just playing in the LARP, this program teaches them leadership and life skills.

Hands down this is one of the all time best perks of working for a company that runs LARPs for kids.

This is a universal during ALL boss fights, not just LARP ones.

Our staff says "Find Out In Game" so often that the kids shortened it to FOIG, and we now give out FOIG stickers at our overnight events.

We've all had a time when we've had a character do something crazy because we were SURE we'd survive. It's fun (for us) to help the PC's in our LARPs try out crazy strategies in a safe, controlled environment. Unfortunately for their characters, "safe and controlled environment" only describes things in the real world.

Have you ever come up with a plan that the DM was so unprepared for that they had to take a break to think?

One thing we're super proud of when we run these live action role playing events for kids: We don't let them win. We give them a chance to win, but they have to deal with the consequences. Especially because it makes for a better story when they come up with better plans.

The kids in our LARP programs are great storytellers. And they LOVE angsty backstories. Our team of writers then uses this to craft intricate subplots for our weekend events that have the kids questioning their fictional life choices.

LARP Camp staff don't always agree with this assessment. But the kids figure it out. Eventually. Maybe.

No one ever really expects their head canon to be RIGHT, right?

To be fair, the staff is just as bad sometimes. Depends on how amazing the mod was.

(Mod is short for module, which translates to a scene or chapter in the story being told at an event. )
