Long before All ABoard VA, there were simple afternoons in Virginia wine country — a beautiful winery, some cheese and crackers, and time to slow down and enjoy it all. 🍷

Somewhere along the way, Jim and I started thinking about how much we'd love to share a little of that magic with others.

And that's where the idea began. ✨

A little weekend board inspiration. ✨

The whitewashed board wasn't actually meant to look like a surfboard — but at the beach, it somehow felt just right. 🌊

And for dinner, something a little different: fresh peaches, creamy burrata, prosciutto and basil served board-style as a summer salad. 🍑

✨ An unforgettable summer evening in Charlottesville.
Many thanks to Ankida Ridge Vineyards and Tavern and Grocery for a truly lovely Summer Wine Dinner. From the thoughtfully paired wines and beautifully prepared dishes to the warm hospitality and candlelit atmosphere, every detail made for a memorable night.
It was such a pleasure to experience the passion and care behind each wine, meet fellow wine lovers, and spend the evening with the wonderful people who brought it all together.
One of the highlights of the evening was hearing Christine share the stories, passion, and care behind the wines created by the team at Ankida Ridge.
Special thanks to Christine & Dennis Vrooman, and Tamara, of Ankida Ridge, and to Ashley and the entire team at Tavern & Grocery, for such a welcoming and memorable collaboration.

From Australia to Virginia Wine Country 🍷

One of the things we love most about what we do is introducing guests to a side of Virginia they might never have discovered on their own.

A few weeks ago, we had the pleasure of hosting a guest visiting from Australia for a day exploring Virginia wine country. They had a fabulous time, enjoying beautiful scenery, wonderful wineries, and a relaxing day away from the hustle and bustle.

A sweet reminder of just how special it truly is.
