Travel Vision Journeys are active cultural immersions with abundant hands-on and behind the scenes educational interactions with nature and culture. Each day we have invigorating walks with an expert photographer teacher who has an intimate knowledge of the places we experience. As we walk, we connect our senses to the special landscapes, people and architecture. We don’t just see these places, we

feel them. As we move through the landscapes and villages, we carefully focus our lens and create images that capture the angles, the colors, the sensations and the mood of our experience. Our expert instructor is there every step of the way, guiding our the photographic process

Conserve! At the end of each photo journey, Travel Vision will collect our best images from our travel experience and create a stunning photo journal. The proceeds of our creation will return back to the places that we visited to support local schools and conservation efforts.

What an amazing day! I’m winding down my trip here in La Bella Italia. Grand finale with the sienna gravel group is always more than I can imagine! The route wound its way through some of the most spectacular scenery. One can imagine on a fall summer day in Tuscany. Vineyard golden in the sky was blue! The group of 40+ cyclist was lively, engaged and always willing to experience the best of their homeland. The grand finale lunch prepared by is local family was the best. thank you Andrea.

The first three days of our Epic Bike Across Sicily was quite the challenge but incredibly lovely and peaceful.

We gathered in Bonagia, just outside Trapani, where the sea breeze and history immediately immersed us in Sicily. After introductions and bike fittings, we rode up to the medieval jewel of Erice, perched high on Monte Erice. From the summit, the views stretched across the Egadi Islands, Trapani salt flats, and the Gulf of Bonagia—an amazing view.

Day 2 Into the countryside we rolled, passing through the Bosco di Scorace and by the ancient Greek ruins of Segesta. The ride carried us through wine country and into the Belice Valley, where towns scarred by the 1968 earthquake now stand as symbols of resilience and creativity. We finished the day in Sambuca di Sicilia, toasting with local wines

Day 3 – Today- Big Hill Day!! 6010 feet of climbing, tested our legs and rewarded our spirits as we pedaled into the rural heart of Palermo province. Vineyards gave way to wide pastures dotted with cows and sheep

The highlight? Riding through Palazzo Adriano, the enchanting village where the Oscar-winning film (one of my all time favorites) Cinema Paradiso was filmed—a true moment of Sicilian magic!
We visited the town’s tiny museum dediaced to the movie and its adorable young star, Toto!

At sunset, we arrived in the hilltop town of Alia, welcomed at Agriturismo Dara Guccione by our gracious host Valentina, who spoiled us with local creations and a hands-on lesson in cheese-making. The perfect end to a perfect day.

Three days in, and Sicily has already captured our hearts, our legs, and our taste buds. Andiamo avanti—there’s so much more to discover! 🇮🇹💫
