🎉 Five years. Wild.
Honestly, I didn’t know what I was doing when I started Mountain Man Travels back in 2021. I just knew I loved travel and wanted to help people experience more of the world. So I started where I was—booking cruises and solo trips because that’s what I knew. That’s what I was doing myself.
Then life happened. Met my wife, became a bonus dad, and things started to shift. Clients started asking for more. More custom. More personal. More “we want this to actually feel like us.”
In the travel world we call those FIT trips—fully custom, built from scratch around the people taking them. No cookie cutter packages. Just the right pieces, put together the right way.
I won’t lie—those trips intimidated me at first. A lot of moving parts. A lot riding on getting it right. But I kept saying yes, kept learning, and kept pushing myself.
Those yeses turned into some trips I’ll never forget:
🌿 Three weeks in New Zealand for clients who had been dreaming about it for years. Their words: “trip of a lifetime.”
🇩🇪 Almost three weeks through Europe—mostly Germany—for an Arvada couple who said they wanted to do the big trips while they still could. That one hit different.
🇹🇭 Thailand for a couple’s 20th wedding anniversary. Personal, meaningful, and exactly what they needed.
Every one of those pushed me to be better.
I’ve made mistakes along the way too. Things didn’t always go perfectly. But I learned from every single one of them and I carry those lessons into every trip I plan now.
I also didn’t get here alone. To the fellow advisors who answered my calls, talked me off the ledge, and shared what they knew—you know who you are. Thank you. And to WorldVia Travel Network—thank you for investing in your advisors the way you do. The trainings, the connections, the support—it makes a real difference.
Most of all—to my clients. You trusted a small, first-responder-owned agency in Arvada with your vacation time, your bucket list trips, your anniversaries and milestones. I don’t take that lightly. Ever. Thank you.
Five years in and I’m just getting started.
