5/31 Sun we sailed on an open boat today with a bunch of fluke snipers. We bounced around early in the bay, picking a fish or two on the first few drifts. Once we lost the tide, we made a move and found some cleaner water along with some better fishing. There was a decent amount of short life and a keeper mixed in throughout the day.

Big Frank managed to land two nice slabs, twin chunky 4-pound fish. Good going, bud! Everyone else contributed to the box with a keeper of their own as well.

Not a bad day considering how things have been lately. Thanks to everyone who came out and put in the effort. Looking forward to the next one!

SAT 5/30 We had the Pepsi crew out yesterday in some tough conditions. North winds over 30 knots for most of the morning made it nearly impossible to get bait. Luckily, we were able to get some from and get the trip underway.
Once we got set up, we picked away at some nice slot fish along with a short to help save the day. Considering the conditions, it was a solid effort all around.

Mon 5/25 We sailed today with a light crowd and really didn’t know what to expect with all the east wind and rain. We stayed local hoping some bigger fish had moved in — and they sure did.

We picked and plucked at shorts most of the morning everywhere we went, then finally got dialed in on some quality keepers, which was a welcomed sight after the slow fishing we’ve been dealing with lately.

Then Ezra came tight on a true doormat. Fish took drag and swam every direction possible before we finally got a look at him and scooped him up — a true Jamaica Bay trophy fluke measuring 30.5 inches and weighing 10.45 lbs! Absolute beast of a fish and a new personal best. Congratulations bud, awesome job sticking with it! 🎣🔥

🌞 With beautiful weather coming this week, we’ll be back searching for more Jamaica Bay doormats. We still have a few spots available:

SAT 5/16 PM Sailed on an open boat trip for the PM with a group of eager anglers looking to get their hands on some striped bass, and they weren’t disappointed. Got set up, started throwing baits out, and had fish on right away with 2 beautiful overs caught and released. We tossed some more baits out and waited it out, picking at them with a bunch of slots and a short before the tide died and the sun went down, basically killing the bite. We still managed to catch 8 fish for the night despite the reports we got we did really good nice going guys see you all soon.

5/16 SAT : We had Ralphy Jr and the boys out for some live bait striped bass fishing. Bait took a little longer than expected, but we finally got what we needed and off we went. Found them chewing right off the bat with a limit of slots on the first drift. Things slowed down when the fleet showed up, so we bounced around managing to land and released a bunch more. Really beautiful weather and a great day on the water thanks for coming out boys .

(Sat 5/9) Had a father-son duo out this morning. We left early to collect some bait, and it worked out perfectly — a couple throws and we were loaded up and on our way. Picked a few fish on the first couple of drifts then the action slowed, so we made a few moves and got right back on them. The father and son doubled up a few times each drift and stayed busy all morning. We easily boxed our limit of slots, along with a good number of overs released to fight another day.

Yesterday we kicked off our fluke season with decent action, catching a mix of shorts along with a few chunky keepers up to 5 lbs. We’re excited to add fluke to our trips once bass season winds down.

The striped bass fishing has been nothing short of epic, with multiple fish on at a time until we run out of bait. With the warmer temperatures this week, the fluke bite should only improve—and we’re hoping to put a doormat on deck after chasing striped bass!

SUN (5/3) PM Sailed Sunday night for Bass and had steady action throughout the trip. We caught fish on both live bait and chunks, finishing with a 5-man limit plus a few releases before calling it a night.

5/2 (Sat AM) Had the out on his annual spring bass trip, along with returning bass slayers Matt Sr. and Matt Jr adding to the mix. We put a beating on them today, getting fish on both live bait and surface plugs. Pretty crazy watching them crush the plugs on topwater. We released many overs and managed to put together a full boat limit of slots. After all the dust settled and the fishing slowed down we called it a day thanks for coming out see you soon !
