Pisgah Covered Bridge | Asheboro, NC The Historic Pisgah Covered Bridge, one of two remaining historic covered bridges in North Carolina publicly accessible to visitors from dawn to dusk.

Explore this interesting structure, one of North Carolina's two remaining historic covered bridges. Built in 1911 at a cost of $40, the bridge is 54 feet in length and crosses the West Fork Branch of the Little River within the Uwharrie National Forest. A great spot for photography, picnics and nature walks along the surrounding quarter-mile walking trail. Picnic tables and public parking available. Take exit 49 from Hwy 220/I-73/I-74.

We know many residents and visitors have attempted to access this gem in the southern part of Randolph County without any luck.

Routine maintenance is occurring at the site and we hope to share a reopening date soon with you - stay tuned!
