Mountain Troutfitters is a Fly shop and Guide Service in North Carolina. We are located in Linville, North Carolina and serve the areas of Boone, Blowing Rock, Spruce Pine, Banner Elk and Newland, NC. The water is home to massive NC Brown Trout, Rainbow Trout and Brook Trout. We have many years of fly fishing guiding experience.

Had the chance to be out on the river with both my kids Thanksgiving day. Laney and Ian came up for the day and was burning up to go and try catch a few fish. Me and Hunt got bundled up and here we went. Awesome day of fishing and maybe a new tradition.

Good day everyone. We have not posted in a while so I thought we would give a update. All of our crew and their families are safe and doing fine. We want to thank everyone for all the calls and texts checking on us. We woke to a couple inches of snow this morning and temps in low 30s. We all have spent the last 3 weeks unloading and distributing supplies and meals or working cleaning up downed trees. Just be patient with us and hopefully we can get back to posting some fish pics soon. Thanks
