It's been amazing to see Carolina Cup grow and mature from a grassroots race hosted by the local paddling club to one of the premiere SUP races in the world!
The question begs...as other SUP events, such as the Pacific Paddle Games, are calling it quits this one continues to grow. How did this race become and maintain its status as a global juggernaut? What's their secret sauce? How can it be replicated?
What Carolina Cup does is very similar to what we do at Green Race and FloatLife Fest. The idea is simple really, but the idea will never work if you don't DO the work.
