Winter is coming ❄️☃️🧊

I don’t say this with dread. For those couples brave enough to endure the colder temps, winter elopements mean:

- Finding ice caves otherwise inaccessible when the temperatures are warm

- Cozy time in your cabin by the fireplace playing cards or drinking hot toddy’s

- Getting to experience truly Alaskan activities like dog mushing

- Experiencing the northern lights

- Snowball fights & snow angels

- Seeing the stark beauty of blue glacier ice against the white snow

Best time to experience winter in Alaska in my opinion is February & March. It’s not to late to plan your winter elopement here in Alaska.

My elopement packages can include everything from lodging, florals, hair & makeup, helicopter (or another experience), photography (obviously :), private chef and more!

Fall in Alaska is perhaps my favorite time of year! 🍂⁠

Kate and David eloped in Seward, one of my favorite Alaskan towns. We met at their sweet cottage just outside town & captured some cute moments as they got ready together. We strolled forested paths & found a private little seaside cove for them to get dressed before surprising each other all fancied up.

They strolled hand in hand to a small point that the tide left behind and said their vows with Ressurection Bay & its tall mountains rising above.

Some elopement days I capture are fast paced, intricate, with many moving pieces and the time flies past. Other days like this one are intentionally slower paced and involve embracing meaningful, quiet moments.

I love helping couples plan days that are exactly what they envision for themselves.

How does one summarize a day as incredible as these two had. We flew over (and landed beside) wildflower meadows, glaciers and high up in the mountains where I dare say no one else has ever landed. We spotted Dall Sheep, Moose, Bear and oh so many Sea Otters. They toasted champagne in front of a beautiful blue ice, dined on delicious food & had their first dance on a beautiful boat with local sea life watching their every move.

Brittany & Lukas came to me with not too many specific requests… just a couple wishes (like colorful florals & an epic adventure) and then they 💯 trusted me to bring their vision to life.

It is so much fun to design a couples day around what is important to them!

What a joy to capture this unforgettable women’s retreat at

From unplugging in off-grid yurts, warm laughter over meals, polar plunges in Resurrection Bay, kayaking to waterfalls, and epic evening circles around the fire—these couple days had it all 🙌🥰

Each moment was alive with connection, discovery, and pure, beautiful joy.

L & M’s day began curled up on the couch together, reading each other’s vows.

An incredible 5 hours were spent exploring Alaska’s wilderness by helicopter; after a short, sweet ceremony on a glacier they celebrated with tequila shots by a beautiful blue ice wall. On the way back home we landed up in the mountains for an impromptu picnic.

Their day ended back at their cute Airbnb smashing cake & soaking in a hot tub.

Congratulations L and M, I had so much fun being a part of your day!

Favorite time of year you ask?

September may be one of Alaska more unpredictable months weather wise; with more rainy days than in June or July & an early snow storm a distinct .
If you’re willing to roll the dice though, September is by far my favorite month to photograph elopements.

Autumn brings its yellows and reds that complement those blue glacier hues & white capped rocky mountain peaks.

I think we can all agree these two had style for days!

Their multi day celebration at was one for the books & consisted of;

- Outdoor welcome dinner with tacos & drinks
- Wildlife & Scenic Cruise with
- Beautiful seaside ceremony & dinner reception at
- Day after wedding kayaking at Bear Glacier Lagoon with

This magical weekend was so much fun to document! Can’t wait to share a full blog post about it soon 🙌
