L & M’s day began curled up on the couch together, reading each other’s vows.

An incredible 5 hours were spent exploring Alaska’s wilderness by helicopter; after a short, sweet ceremony on a glacier they celebrated with tequila shots by a beautiful blue ice wall. On the way back home we landed up in the mountains for an impromptu picnic.

Their day ended back at their cute Airbnb smashing cake & soaking in a hot tub.

Congratulations L and M, I had so much fun being a part of your day!

Favorite time of year you ask?

September may be one of Alaska more unpredictable months weather wise; with more rainy days than in June or July & an early snow storm a distinct .
If you’re willing to roll the dice though, September is by far my favorite month to photograph elopements.

Autumn brings its yellows and reds that complement those blue glacier hues & white capped rocky mountain peaks.

Don’t want to helicopter on your elopement day?

I know it might seem like all of my couples are flying in helicopters to get to the most incredible locations. I’m here to reassure you even if you decide a helicopter elopement isn’t for you; there are so many epic places to explore on foot, horseback, ATV, gondola and more!

Lakes, waterfalls, mountains & glaciers all await!

Considering eloping in 2025? I have room for just a few more elopements for spring, summer, fall - let’s talk!

Seward was where I photographed one of my first helicopter elopements 🚁 and, even after flying in many different locations here in Alaska, it’s still one of my favorite places to take couples on their elopement day!

This lagoon in particular is so stunningly beautiful to see, both from the air and also standing on its rocky shoreline.

Imagine saying your vows with the sounds of each others voices mixed with pops and groans of icebergs moving. The occasional crack of iceberg splitting & waves lapping the shoreline when ice rolls.

It’s a pretty magical experience.

I’ve got room for a handful of elopement in Seward this summer & would love to take you to my favorite places!

Winter elopements might just be my favorite!

This sweet couple had a big wedding planned in NC but when Hurricane Helene devastated the town where their wedding was going to take place these two were forced to pivot. This time they chose to head north to Alaska and elope via helicopter with

We had a blast flying to some of my favorite locations!

Want to elope this winter here in Alaska? I have room for just 2-3 more elopements in February and March.

The cold never bothered me anyways

Honestly, even if cold weather isn’t your best friend I would encourage you to atleast consider bundling up and embracing a winter elopement here in Alaska.

Why?

Here are a few of my favorite reasons to love winter in Alaska:

- The light is magical, almost all the time. Seriously, this time of year is a photographers dream with long sunrises and sunsets

- Access to ice caves & landing in places we can’t explore during summers warmer weather

- Peaceful. It’s quieter than the hustle and bustle of summer season when we’re at the height of tourism.

- Winter activities like Dog sledding, snow machining and ice skating are fun things to incorporate into your elopement day

- The opportunity for northern lights viewing & if you’re lucky even getting some photos in your wedding attire under the aurora!

Winter elopements are also the perfect chance to slow down & focus on intentional time together. Book a cute cabin with a wood stove, play board games, cuddle on the couch, warm up in a sauna, hire a private chef to cook a nice wedding dinner.

I still have some availability for elopements between February-March & bookings are open through winter 2026 as well!

From glacier pools to high alpine meadows in 5 minutes?

Helicopter is your best friend when it comes to accessing a variety of scenery easily especially here in Alaska the roads and few and the terrain is steep 🙌
