It's time for Machu Picchu!

Our trek team has reached Cusco, Peru, at 10,000 feet and has met their guide Michel (who just finished the IMG Huayhuash Trek last week). They're enjoying their acclimatization, taking it slow and easy as they become accustomed to the high altitude. Cusco is a fun town to explore, and there are many excellent cultural sights in what was the capital of the Inca Empire. The team visited the Coricancha Temple and Inca ruins at Saqsaywaman and also the alpacas at the woolen mill.

Check the IMG Blog for more updates from Peru!

Congratulations to our Cordillera Huayhuash trekking team! After a several days of hiking over high Andean passes and around stunning turquoise lakes, they finally returned to Huaraz and then to Lima, and began their journey home. There's nowhere else quite like the Huayhuash Range, and it's always a pleasure to experience it with a new team.

Thank you for trekking with us!

Congratulations to our most recent women's climb team, who ascended Mount Rainier on the 136th anniversary of the first known female summit of this same mountain on August 10, 1890!

Fay Fuller, a 20 year old school teacher from Yelm, Washington, set her mind upon the summit almost 140 years ago. She's now part of a long lineage of strong and incredible women who climb Mount Rainier every year, and we're proud to know so many of them!

That first experience of the summit is unlike anything else. In Fuller's words, "a heavenly moment, nothing was said—words cannot describe scenery and beauty, how could they speak for the soul?”

Welcome to Peru!

Our annual Cordillera Huayhuash trek team arrived yesterday to Huaraz (about 10,000 ft) in northern Peru. Today they took a moderate acclimatization hike reaching about 11,000 feet, before returning to the hotel for a nice lunch. The team is looking forward to more acclimatization hiking tomorrow, in preparation for their circumnavigation of the Huayhuash range (seen in the background of the first pic) in the coming days.

Views from the Bakerhorn this weekend...

Mount Baker is a beloved Washington volcano, and the Easton Glacier route is a great starting point for folks interested in learning the ins and outs of glacier travel! It also offers some of the best views around (Kevin only occasionally included).

If this sounds like the climb for you, we still have a handful of spots open through the end of this season, and we'd love to climb with you! Click the link in our bio to learn more.

And that's a wrap!

The 2026 Denali/McKinley season has come to a close, and it was IMG Denali's largest season yet. We got six out of six teams to the summit against challenging weather odds at the start of the season, and made some indelible memories along the way.

Thank you to all who climbed and guided with us this season, supported our teams from Talkeetna and Ashford, and cheered our climbers on from all over the world. This year will stay in our memories for a long long time!
