With the warm weather this weekend a day at the beach is a must! While it is tempting to feed our feathered friends while at the beach we ask that you do not feed the birds!

City Ordinances expressly prohibit feeding birds on our beaches as it negatively impacts both the birds and beach goers. Birds can become aggressive, flock in large numbers, and create more waste that harms our beaches.

Have you noticed some work happening outside of the Bretting Community Center? This week the first phase of our Outdoor Beautification project was set in motion!

Our wonderful crew came out and put in flower beds around the base of the building! APR staff are excited for the pop of color this project will provide and wanted to give a huge THANK YOU to everyone who made this project possible! Including our City Gardener Tristan, our Public Works Intern Hannah, our Facilities Crew, Parks & Recreation Director Cat, and our City Administrator! You'll have to wait to see what else is in store for this project! 👀🌷🌻

Happy National Sneak Some Zucchini Into Your Neighbor's Porch Day!

Zucchini is in season right now and boy do we know our garden's produce a lot of it! Celebrate the harvest and leave/sneak some on your neighbor's porch! And when you're done - come play in the game room or shoot some hoops in the gym!
