Our California Salmon season has officially started!
The 'Cal' Salmon is one of our original trips and one of the biggest reasons we started Momentum on the Oregon-California border. It is also one of the best whitewater rivers in the country.

Over the years we put a lot of love into our itineraries and into our camp. In the end, the river is the star (and the Salmon is definitely a star), but we feel very good about the backup band that we've created. It is truly a very comfortable (and fun) high-adventure trip. And for those who are not into class V, we do class III/IV charter trips for those who want to experience the river without the biggest days of whitewater.

The season is short - through the first weekend in June. There's a few spots left on the weekends, and a few more on our midweek trips where we have time to explore even more of the Salmon. We also have space on our May 3rd Wilderness Gourmet trip.

The Owyhee has one of the best snowpack we have seen in years! It is one of our original trips, the Grand Canyon Of Oregon, and just one of the most unique places in the world.

THE SALT IS ON FOR THIS SEASON!!

5 days in floating ‘Arizona’s other Grand Canyon’ - Tons of class III and IV whitewater, wilderness, world-class camping, the desert sun in spring, and granite inner gorges that cut through the exotic Saguaro Cactus forests of Arizona’s Sonoran Desert.

The Salt does not run every year, but It is looking very good for a solid Late March/Early April Salt Season - and we have a couple more dates available.

A journey through a land of Gila monsters, Javelina, and bighorn sheep; granite inner gorges flanked by crumbling sedimentary mountains; blooming ocotillo, palo verde, and desert flowers; classic whitewater; cool quiet pools and tumbling waterfalls; all watched over by the warm desert sun and the mystical and stately giant saguaros – the benevolent sentinels of the Sonoran Desert.

The end of an era and...

THANK YOU!!!!!!!

Everyone at Momentum would like to say thank you to everyone who joined us on the Upper Klamath over the last 20 years. This river is special to us - it was one of our first two Rivers, and quickly became a guide and guest favorite as one of our most popular trips. We've been so lucky to be able to run this river for so many years, and we're happy to be a part of history. The reason for the end of this era is a good one: the biggest dam removal project in history, and it's a huge win for our environment, for fisheries, for the river, and for the tribes that have relied on it for thousands of years.

While the current trips will not be offered in the future, we have new trips and new rivers for 2024 and beyond, including a whitewater trip with an even nicer version of our Upper Klamath Bush camp. We are also excited to show guests new stretches of the restored river and the environmental benefits of dam removal on the Upper Klamath in 2025. We truly believe that bringing people into wild places like the Upper Klamath is the best way to protect them, and we've been lucky to share this unique place with so many of you for so long.

All of that said, we will miss the big waves, the rugged and beautiful scenery, and all of the good times we've had down on the Upper Klamath.

So again, thank you from all of us, and we hope to see you on another river soon!

Experience the Rogue River this Fall! Everybody loves the Rogue in the summer but hiking or rafting the Rogue in Fall is the local secret to enjoy the river with less crowds, cooler weather and Fall colors.
