Rail City Fest is a 2-day music festival of all genres, featuring LANCO, in Downtown Russell, KY. This community event includes a kid's zone, horse and carriage rides, food trucks, vendors, live music and more!

Nothing says Appalachia like a music on the porch!

Saturday, June 13, is the tenth annual Singin’ Gatherin’ Old-Time Music Day event at the beautiful McConnell House in Wurtland, Kentucky.

Event begins at 1:00 PM and runs until 7 PM. The historic home is the perfect setting for the outdoor concert on the side porch which is a beautiful main stage for the music.

The tall, old trees provide shade all afternoon and there is always a breeze that keeps everyone comfortable. Greenup Arts is proud to partner with the McConnell House and our local old-time music friends, Kentucky Memories to keep alive an event that actually started in 1932 with the American Folk Song Festival.

Clarks Pump N Shop
No roadtrip begins until your tank is full of gas and you are loaded up with snacks. Clark's Pump-N-Shop is a local, family owned convenience store chain located all across Appalachia's Front Porch. Clean restrooms, great snacks, and convenient locations.

Iron Diner
For breakfast or lunch, we receomment the Iron Diner in Ironton, Ohio. You'll find this hidden gem nesteled inside the historic City Building in downtown Ironton.

Virginia Point Park
Located in Kenova, WV, this is the ideal spot to see where Kentucky, Ohio, and West Virginia meet. Right between the convergence of the Ohio River and the Big Sandy River you can see all three states in one spot.
